Marco Island, home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, is just a short drive from Naples. Once you cross the S.S. Jolly Bridge, you feel like you are in a laid-back beach and fishing village with a flair of sophistication. Marco Island is an affluent beach and boating community with small-town charm. This barrier island is located between the Gulf of Mexico and the Ten Thousand Islands is home to culture, great food, and incredible water views. There are several public beaches on Marco, but residents can enjoy a Resident Only beach with private parking and amenities. Marco Island is home to several marinas, including the Esplanade Marina, where you will also find many dining and shopping options.

Housing diversity runs the gamut, you will find incredible multi-million-dollar waterfront mansions, old-style walk-up condominiums, and beachfront high-rise condominiums. Marco Island is a much sought-after vacation rental area, and therefore, is also a fantastic business investment. Seasonal condominiums are booked far in advance, sometimes even before the current season ends.

You never have to leave the island, Marco is home to a variety of small boutique shops, and shopping plazas, as well as the Marco Town Center with over 30 great stores, galleries, and restaurants, and is also home to The Marco Players, an active community theater. With nearly 100 different cafes and restaurants, there are options for everyone, from t-shirts and flip-flops vibes to more of an upscale Island Chic.

Public schools in Collier County are zoned by address. Those K-12 students living on Marco Island and attending public school would be zoned for Tommie Barfield Elementary, Marco Island Charter Middle School or Manatee Middle School, and Marco Island Academy High School or Lely High School. For private school options, there is Seacrest Country Day School, which is a highly rated PK through 12th grade school.

Marco Island is home is several parks throughout the area. Frank E. Mackle Park is one of the best, it is a great family park with paths, a Pirate’s Cove playground, and sports fields. There is even a park for your four-legged friends. Canine Cove offers different areas for small and large dogs, and plenty of seating while watching your dogs play with their friends.
