The Moorings is a non-gated community, rich in history, and located in one of the most central parts of Naples. This neighborhood is a bit quieter than neighborhoods to the south. Residents maintain a strong sense of community and it shows in how beautifully the streets are maintained. Getting around is quite easy with all the accessible walking and bike paths. Nearby, the Moorings Country Club offers golf, bocce ball, and social activities.
The residents of The Moorings are eligible to join the Moorings Property Owners Association which entitles members to the Moorings Beach Park with private parking privileges and other member-only activities. The Moorings Beach Park is an idyllic park with pavilions, benches, and lots of green space right next to the gorgeous beaches and the Gulf of Mexico.
The Moorings is located between Coquina Sands and Park Shore and is nestled between Tamiami Trail and the Gulf of Mexico. Though many of the waterfront residences have access to the Gulf of Mexico by boat, only those living on Moorings Bay have direct gulf access through Doctor’s Pass with no hindrance of any bridges.
With over 1,300 acres, The Moorings has nearly 4,000 single-family homes and condominiums, and co-ops. Many of the low-rise condominiums, co-ops, and single-family homes overlook the various bays with expansive views of Moorings Bay, Hurricane Harbor, and Doctors Bay. Most of the high-rise condominiums overlook the Gulf of Mexico and the sandy white beaches.
A short distance away, residents will find Venetian Village, a quaint combination of boutique shops and restaurants overlooking the beautiful bay. Not too far to the south is Lowdermilk Park Beach, one of the largest public access beaches in Collier County; and across from there are several eateries to grab a quick bite. Just a five-minute car ride will take you to Waterside Shops, a lovely outdoor collection of high-end shops and restaurants amid calming and beautiful water features.
Public schools in Collier County are zoned by address. Those K-12 students living in The Moorings and attending public school would be zoned for either Lake Park or Seagate Elementary, Gulfview Middle School, and Naples High School. For private school options, there is The Village School of Naples, Community School of Naples, First Baptist Academy, or Seacrest Country Day School.
Fleischmann Park is close to The Moorings and offers an extensive list of activities and events as well as racquetball courts, sports fields, multi-purpose sports courts, two incredible playgrounds, a splash pad, a community center, and The Edge Johnny Nocera Skate Park – a 40,000 square foot skate park with wood and concrete ramps, bowls, and pools.
