A visit to the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club is like putting on a new pair of fine Italian shoes – there is a special feeling that usually only comes with new shoes and the Naples Beach Hotel has it!
The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club is one of southwest Florida’s most prestigious resorts, catering to the casual tourist, the seasonal visitor and the meeting and convention planners who want to combine a relaxing vacation with their professional agendas. Soothing colors, tropical landscaping and exotic orchids greet you at every turn. I knew the shoes fit the moment I walked into the lobby – luxury, quality and comfort all combined with a friendly, well-trained staff.

The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club is a privately-owned, third generation family affair. The 318-room hotel complex occupies 125 acres with 1,000 feet of powdery sand beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Unpretentious, understated, relaxed, yet refined, the hotel has been owned and operated by the Watkins family for more than 55 years and prides itself on attention to detail. Since then the hotel has undergone some substantial changes.

In April 2000 the hotel completed a huge, 75,000-square-foot addition to include a new Clubhouse, additional meeting space, a full-service spa and fitness center and Broadwell’s restaurant. The resort offers a total of 34,000 square feet of conference and meeting space. The redecorating of rooms and suites with new fabrics and furnishings as well as carpeting is being completed and is best described as “refined beach house.”

One of the unique features at the resort is the Orchid House and guests are invited to join the resort’s horticulturist for a tour of the more than 5,000 tropical plants, most of which you will find throughout the hotel and property.

In addition to Broadwells, guests can take advantage of three other restaurants at the resort including HB’s on the Gulf, Naples only beachfront restaurant, featuring fresh regional seafood and spectacular views of the ocean and its golden sunsets. Another favorite spot to catch the sun or the sunset is the Sunset Beach Bar and Snack Bar nestled between the beach and the pool. Each morning, a breakfast buffet is available in the Everglades Room.

The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club as the name suggests, has its own on-site 18-hole, par 72 PGA championship golf course. The resort has earned many accolades including the Golden Links award by Meetings and Conventions Magazine. The course has been named one of the Top 100 Women-Friendly Courses by Golf for Women Magazine, and also features a golf school.

The Naples Beach Hotel is also well known for its award-winning Tennis Center with six Har-Tru tennis courts. Guests who enjoy water sports will love the large beachfront swimming pool, and all the amenities for water sports. Professional golf, tennis, sailing and windsurfing instruction is available. Yoga on the beach can be arranged. Bicycles may be rented for a short ride to the many shopping boutiques in Olde Naples.

The resort has found the Beach Klub 4 Kids is just as popular with parents as it is with the younger crowd. The complimentary program is available to all resort guests from ages five to 12. Children enjoy many supervised activities.

Naples is known for its world class shopping, dining and challenging golf courses. With close to 100 golf courses in the greater Naples area, it is no wonder people refer to it as the “Golf Capital of the World.”
The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club has six shops to satisfy your shopping pleasure, however, should you choose to venture away from the resort shopping in Naples is unparalleled. For those with an eye for value the Miromar Outlets, a designer outlet mall, is only a short drive from Naples, and features more than 100 top designer and brand name manufacturers’ outlets from Escada to Tommy Hilfiger. Closer to the beach and Naples central business district are the trendy boutiques, galleries and cafes on the picturesque promenades of historic Fifth Avenue South and Third Street.

Nestled on the sun-drenched beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, Naples is the second fastest growing city in the United States, next to Las Vegas. The climate is subtropical with a strong marine influence from the Gulf. Its peak season is from January through April and reservations are essential during this time. Room rates are 30 to 70 percent below winter rates during the off-season from May to December.
