With so much development going on in Naples, Florida, it is hard to keep up on all the new options for residential communities and what they have to offer. Immokalee Road has grown over the last twenty years, offering residents Health Care, Shopping, Entertainment, Restaurants, School Options, Churches and, of course, Residential Communities. Immokalee Road also offers ease of access to I-75 using exit 111, and just a straight car ride west to the Gulf of Mexico and you will be at Wiggins State Park Beach.
Immokalee Road communities are generally divided up by crossroads. West of US 41, West or East of I-75, West or East of Collier Blvd (aka 951). With little or no land left to develop west of Collier Blvd, developers, both commercial and residential, have been buying up land along the Immokalee Road corridor. We have seen the arrival of so many communities in a wide range of prices pop up over the years. This past year Valencia Trails, a 55+ community, Ventana Pointe broke ground just a month ago, a new charter school is slated to open this year, this list goes on and on.
One of (actually two of) the exciting new developments at the crossroads of Immokalee Road and Collier Blvd is Founders Square, which will be the site of a restaurant / retail hub, a 400 unit apartment complex, a climate controlled storage facility and a medical office building. On the northwest corner, a new Aldi Supermarket and Chick-fil-A restaurant will be a much anticipated addition to the bustling part of town. This Chick-fil-A will be the 3rd in Naples and will include a dine in restaurant and drive thru. Aldi Supermarket will round out the grocery shopping options for residents in North Naples.
The already developed northeast corner of Immokalee Road and Collier Blvd has brought a much needed NCH Emergency Room to the area. Restaurants including Sakura Buffet, Tropical Smoothie, Culvers, Pelican Larry’s and the Warehouse give many dining options. In addition to a CVS, Starbucks, Goodwill and RaceTrack gas station, Volcano Mountain Adventure Golf, an 18-hole miniature golf course, is slated to open Summer 2021.
Public and Charter Schools on Immokalee Road make it convenient for families with children of all ages to have neighborhood schools. Both Laurel Oak Elementary School and Gulf Coast High School are directly on Immokalee Road between I-75 and Collier Blvd. They are both A rated schools and an important reason many families want to live in this great school zoned area. Oakridge Middle School is just a half mile off Immokalee Road on Collier Blvd and is also A rated. Collier Charter Academy and Naples Classical Academy are both located just east of Collier Blvd and offer a no-tuition option to public school.
