When Realtors talk about the “Walks”, they are referring to the Island Walk, Village Walk and Verona Walk communities built by Divosta in the late 90’s through the mid 2000’s. These neighborhoods were (and still are) special. Constructed of poured concrete, they were built to last. All three neighborhoods offered the same floor plans for single family homes, villas and Townhouses with detached garages with a rear entry alley and a very large outdoor area between the garage and home. Some of the townhomes have pools, others just use it as a huge outdoor living space. The streets around the Townhouse area give off a quaint, neighborly feeling with front porches and sidewalks.

All of the “Walks” have Town Centers which include a restaurant, resort style pools, lap pools, tennis courts, a gas station, exercise rooms, library, post office, meeting rooms, car wash, extensive biking and walking trails with connecting bridges, and loads of other amenities. For some, there is no reason to ever leave the comfort and security of their respective 24-hour guarded and gated communities.

Single family homes range from 2 – 4 bedrooms, some with a den, and from 1,400 – 2,700 square feet. Village Walk also has some single family homes that are as big as 3,200 square feet. Attached villas range from 1,500 square feet to just under 2,000. The 2 story townhouses are between 1,500 – 1,900 square feet. Dependent on the original owner’s choices, some of the residences have their own pools and spas, extended lanais, with most having beautiful water views of the lakes and fountains.

Despite being built almost 20 years ago, these three communities still remain extremely sought after places to live in Naples. Village Walk has 850 residences, Island Walk has over 1,850 residences and Verona Walk has over 1,900 residences; and despite this, only a handful of properties are ever for sale at the same time. The communities are well run and boast very affordable HOA fees, especially for all of the amenities they offer.
