What is the closest airport to Naples Florida? Well, that depends on if you are flying commercial or private. Naples is very well situated and convenient to get to, whether flying directly in, or flying and driving. Our roadways aka expressways are direct and straight forward, there are no confusing interchanges, carpool lanes or tricky exits.

For those with private jets, the Naples Airport (APF) is centrally located right in the heart of the City of Naples. This small, but full-service airport sees of 100,000 general aviation takeoffs and landings every year. They offer car rentals, U.S. Customs, free parking, and easy access to your aircraft.

The closest international airport to Naples is the Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and is located in Ft. Myers, about 25 minutes from Naples. Located just 3 miles off I-75, exit 128 to the east will take you right to the terminal. RSW is serviced by over 14 air carriers including American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, Air Canada and more. For our Canadian friends, RSW has non-stop flights to and from Toronto and Montreal. Non-stop flights are also plentiful to most major northeastern airports as well as those in the northern central area.

The Marco Island Executive Airport is another airport that accommodates small private aircrafts. This airport is located in Marco Shores, which is about 20 minutes from the center of Naples and just 10 minutes to Marco Island. This airport boasts a 5,000’ runway, supplies fuel, pilots’ lounge, and car rentals.

If flying into Miami International Airport (MIA), Naples is less than 2 hours away. Once out of Miami, travelling across Alligator Alley (I-75) for about 80 miles, you will drive through the Everglades and be surrounded by one of Florida’s greatest natural habitats. There are several rest stops along the way, some with boat ramps, picnic tables, restrooms, and vending machines. Mile Marker 35 and 63 have the restrooms (just in case). At Mile Marker 49, you will find the Miccosukee Service Plaza and access to the Seminole reservation and museum, Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki. The service plaza includes rest rooms, gas station and a food store.
