Located between Naples and Marco Island, this barrier island is only accessible by boat. If you do not have a boat, you can take the Hemingway Water Shuttle from Marco Island. While there are some private homes on Keewaydin, much of the south end of the Island is open to the public. There are no amenities on the island, but occasionally food boats (like a food truck) will anchor nearby and sell ice cream, brats, burgers, and drinks. This is the only beach in Collier County that allows dogs and overnight camping – but again, this is primitive and there are no restrooms.
