Market Profile
The communities of Naples, Marco Island, Golden Gate, Immokalee, Ave Maria and Everglades City represent Collier County.  Collier County is the largest county in regards to total land area in the State of Florida. The vast amount of land and geographic boundaries, either natural or man made, has encouraged these communities to emerge.

Collier County continues to have one of the strongest economies in the State of Florida, with one of the lowest unemployment rates, highest rates of job creation, and average wages in the top quartile of all Florida counties.

Business and Industry
Collier County's highly skilled labor force, superior quality of place, and well-developed infrastructure, combine to foster a highly desirable business climate.  Collier County offers several industrial parks and a multitude of manufacturing companies that employ a large number of individuals.  The professional and business services sector is expected to achieve the most growth through 2009, growing at an average rate of 5.3%.  Additionally, Collier County has the second highest level of patent activity in Southwest Florida.

Climate & Environment
Paradise... Southwest Florida is projected to lead the nation over the next ten years in population growth, personal income, and new job growth. Phenomenal growth has sparked an exciting sense of energy and opportunity in a place that can only be described as Paradise. Southwest Florida's mean annual temperature is 75 degrees. Even though summer temperatures may reach the high 90's, the Gulf of Mexico provides delightful breezes and short afternoon showers can be expected daily.

Cost Of Living
Collier County, although higher on average than the state in total cost of living, compares favorably to most other metro markets in Florida. Collier County ranked highest in overall cost of living in 2007 according to research conducted on behalf of the Florida Department of Education, by the University of Florida's Bureau of Economic and Business Research.  The study is conducted for all Florida counties, and for the state as whole. The results are published once a year, and used to calibrate teacher pay across the state.

Education
There are several higher education opportunities in Collier County, including Florida Gulf Coast University, Ave Maria University, Hodges University and Edison State College.  Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) is Florida’s 10th accredited public university located just east of Interstate 75 between Naples and Fort Myers at exits 123 and 128.  Degree programs are offered in arts and sciences, business, education, health professions and public and social services, with graduate programs in health, public administration, education, social work, and business.

Population
Collier County, consisting of Naples, Everglades City, Immokalee, Marco Island and Golden Gate, is the seventh fastest growing metropolitan area in the nation according to the U.S. Census Bureau. In addition to the population growth, Collier County is one of the most desirable business locations in the country. Year round warmth, beautiful sunshine and a proactive business community make Collier County the ideal corporate location for business growth and future success. The county’s 2006 population estimate is 314,649, per the United States Census Bureau.

Transportation
Four major U.S. interstate highways provide direct access to all major markets in Florida. Interstate 75 extends from Canada to Naples, before turning to the East Coast and connecting with the Florida Turnpike. I-75 North/South I-75 East from Naples to Fort Lauderdale with connectors to I-95 U.S.

Workforce
Collier County continues to have one of the fastest growing labor forces in the U.S. Fueled by a fast growing population; the Collier County labor force has grown by 32% in the past six years, and in 2007 totaled 159,061 persons.   Collier County and its’ surrounding areas provide an abundant skilled labor force. In 2007, Southwest Florida’s labor force increased to more than 526,720. Collier County's largest employment concentrations continue to be in industries that are fueled by population growth.
