Residential property in Collier County has been one of the most profitable and popular investments in the United States in recent years. Named as one of the hottest real estate markets by the Meyers Group, Collier County continues to draw many new residents each year.

Building permits and residential values in Collier County have continued to rise in recent years, as the run up in wealth in the late 1990's was immediately followed by several years of low mortgage rates.

Rental housing in Collier County has now become more abundant. As of January 2003, more than 50 different rental units were operating more than 11,700 in Collier County.
